Voters move toward Democratic control of Congress

Mr Trump has got into our heads with a rhythmic flow of outrageous behavior. He goes off the rails he gets back on he goes off he gets back on…. he goes off he gets back on

In short, Donald Trump is America’s earworm. 

Hillary Clinton meanwhile is protected by her years in public office. Voters are used to the GOP attacks that come and go on a regular basis. She gets a pass on things because the GOP has cried wolf too often.

And while there are many reasons for voters to move toward Democratic control of Congress my favorite reason is :

The contempt conservatives have for our government. As demonstrated by their “gut wrenching soul searching” over the nominee. In reality they see an easily influenced, pliable, attention seeking, approval addicted candidate they can control. They can hardly believe their good fortune. With Mr Trump in office and a gerrymandered GOP congress conservatives might think they have reached the pinnacle of their political goals.

Except maybe they haven’t. Maybe the voters have caught on.
