Sen. Voinovich Lockbox Act

In his statement dated September 19, 2005 Senator Voinovich talks about the need for federal government to be honest with American taxpayers.

He has introduced the Truth in Budgeting Act of 2005 which will guarantee that any trust fund revenues collected for a special purpose, including Social Security funds, will be securely locked away and NOT LENT OUT FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

"We are kidding ourselves if we ignore this debt and we are lying to the America public if we tell them it is unimportant," Senator Voinovich said.
