Poor little raccoon didn't make it through the insulators at the top of this electric pole.
Raccoons are nocturnal creatures, so when the raccoon went up the pole and tried to pass through the insulators maybe it looked like an animal burrow in the dark. Who knows? For certain it ended awkwardly for the raccoon.
When I called the electric company to report this I was told rodents cause a significant amount of damage to power lines and that the raccoon most likely got zapped right away and death would have been quick.
