What you do when you don't want to listen to the other side of the argument because you figure
you need to get out ahead of the big smear you expect is coming.
Not to be confused with prebutter which is what you do when you smear butter on your bread before toasting.

Mitt Romney why don't you??????
Mr. Romney, last night you had a wonderful opportunity to prove to this nation you would be a reasonable leader... but you failed to see the open door. Next time you are attacked because you signed a health care law in Massachusetts while you were their Governor, you ought to say:
"I DID WHAT THE PEOPLE OF MASSACHUSETTS WANTED. AND I DIDN'T SHOVE SOMETHING THEY DID NOT WANT DOWN THEIR THROAT LIKE YOU CONSERVATIVES ARE ALWAYS TRYING TO DO."
