Do you subscribe to the Writer's Almanac? I subscribed last December and I have enjoyed every single issue. The message arrives in my e mail every day. And there is almost always an interesting piece of information or a good poem. Today, the writer of the message talked about today (March 4) being the day in 1789 that the U.S. Constitution went into effect, and so it was that this day was chosen as the original Inauguration Day.
