Brinkman would oppose abortion for any reason

conservative republican, Tom Brinkman introduced House Bill 228 to the Ohio Legislature Health Committee for a hearing on June 13. His proposed legislation would ban abortions for any reason, not even a health exception. Brinkman argues that he could fix that if the measure ever did pass. Surprisingly, he doesn’t expect his proposed legislation to pass. He is playing games with the voters and more importantly the lives of Ohio women. He wants to use the abortion debate to gather votes for Ken Blackwell, and tar Blackwell’s opponent, Ted Strickland.

Abortion ban not expected to go far

Impassioned speeches stir debate on abortion

I guess Brinkman figures this is a no brainer. He can stir up headlines for his friend, Blackwell, and force Ted Strickland to oppose the measure.

Well, I’ll tell you something Tom Brinkman, conservative republicans have ruined America with all these divisive debates. Y’all just keep on sticking your nose where it don’t belong. And it is despicable to the ninth degree to use a woman’s health as one of your issues.

There are plenty of people just like me, who are sick and tired of your devious schemes to garner votes, raise money and retain power.

Wake up OHIO! Vote ‘em out next November.
